AMVETS is a national veterans service organization, established in 1947, dedicated to supporting veterans and their families through advocacy, community service, and various programs to enhance their quality of life.

Our History

Founded by President Truman, AMVETS is the first World War II organization chartered by Congress. Post 1111 in Kinston, North Carolina, continues this legacy by serving veterans and their communities.

Our Location

Visit AMVETS Post 1111 in Kinston, North Carolina, a proud part of our national veterans service organization dedicated to supporting veterans since 1947. We meet monthly at G.I. Joe's Military " Living History" Museum which is a project of Salute, A Tribute to America's Veterans.

Hours

Post 1111 holds monthly meetings the 1st Monday on the month at 6 pm.

Museum Hours are 9 am - 4 pm Tuesday through Saturday. The museum is closed Sunday and Monday.
